Sluices and dams, quay walls and embankments, roads, sea dykes, piers, beach groynes, jetties, fixed and moveable bridges and green areas along the entire coast and in the coastal marinas all belong to the heritage of the Coastal Division. Therefore, keeping this infrastructure in good condition is one of the core tasks of the Department.

For smaller repairs to the hard infrastructure and for the maintenance of the green areas, the Department has maintenance contracts. If the damage found is too significant, the repair will take place through a specific tender.

The maintenance work can be any type of work. It concerns mostly all kinds of hydraulic-engineering works on installations that are subject to the tides. In addition, it can also be road construction work, earth-moving or planting work.

Have you found damage to the heritage of the Coastal Division? Report it using the contact form on our website.
